Presented by GEYA as part of the Top of the Boot Family Christmas Festival & Parade, Battle of the Belles is an exciting youth competition celebrating talent, teamwork, leadership, and community pride.

This event will bring together elementary, middle, and high school cheerleaders, majorette squads, and dance teams from across North Louisiana to showcase their skills and compete for championship titles and cash prizes.

Think your gumbo is the best in town? Enter the "Lick the Pot Gumbeaux Cook-Off for just $50 ! Cook your best batch, serve it up for tasting, and let the crowd decide who takes home bragging rights.
Winner takes home half of the tasting pot proceeds
Must provide enough gumbo for tasting (approx. 2–3 gallons)
Teams supply their own ingredients, pots, and cooking setup
Check-in and setup begin Saturday 10 am, judging/tasting starts at 1pm.
Bring the flavor, the spice, and the holiday spirit, may the best pot win!

We’re inviting 50 schools, churches, school clubs, bands, cheer/dance teams, and other school or church groups to join the 2026 Shreveport Family Christmas Parade for FREE!

Bring your Christmas spirit and represent your organization with a float, decorated vehicle, walking group, band, cheer/dance team, or other festive entry. Spots will fill up fast!

This option is for all families, what better way to start a new family tradition, than to be in the North Louisiana Christmas Parade? Whether you all get together and create a family float, walk, or drive the family car, we want you to join us in giving North Louisiana the ultimate Christmas Parade!

Be a part of one of Northwest Louisiana's premier holiday traditions! The parade travels 1 mile along Clyde Fant Parkway, beginning at Veterans Park and ending in Downtown Shreveport, with thousands of spectators expected to line the route.

This is the perfect opportunity for schools, churches, nonprofits, businesses, community organizations, bands, dance teams, car clubs, and families to spread holiday cheer while showcasing your organization.

Join us for the 2026 Shreveport Family Christmas Festival on Saturday, December 19, 2026, from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM in Downtown Shreveport!
Vend during our Battle of the Belles Dance & Cheer Classic. Teams from all over and their families will be in the city ready to shop!

We’re looking for food vendors, boutiques, small businesses, makers, artists, community organizations, and specialty vendors to help us create a festive holiday marketplace for families to shop, eat, and enjoy throughout the day.
